The use of natural and high-quality ingredients for color by NEWSHA, as well as for our care and styling products, has always been a top priority for us. The selection of the following three caring-highlights was based on the superfoods sector.
After conducting thorough research and taking into account various studies, we consciously decided to use and process Baobab oil, Monoi oil and blue lotus extract. These three components form the basis of the superfood-oil-complex that characterizes our hair color.
This precious oil is extracted from the African baobab tree’s seeds, also known as the “tree of life”. It is one of the worldwide biggest tree and originally comes from the African island Madagascar. The baobab tree forms part of the class of the so-called superfoods and is used versatilely.
The oil extracted from this tree plays an important role not only when it comes to nutrition, but also in the cosmetic sector. Thanks to its high concentration of omega 3 fatty acids it’s also known as a panacea with an extremely moisturizing, regenerating and protective effect. Baobab is also extremely rich in vitamin C, B1 and B6, as well as potassium, calcium and important antioxidants.
The exotic scent and nourishing secret of the Tahitians has already been considered an asset for hair and skin care for thousands of years. The rich, nourishing and 100 % natural beauty product is made up of pure coconut oil and the tiare flower. The coconuts are desiccated and pressed. The oil obtained from this process is then mixed with the Tahitian tiare flower.
The highly concentrated monoi-oil has a moisturizing, as well as a anti-frizz effect, making it ideal for dry hair. It’s got added vitamin E and contains various saturated fatty acids. Apart from all these benefits, the oil’s antioxidants protect the hair from damages caused by free radicals.
Blue lotus extract:
The precious extract of the blue lotus is extracted from the Nymphaea caerulea, also known as “blue Egyptian water lilly” or “Egyptian lotus”. This plant species primarily grows on the bank of the Nile in Egypt, as well as in Ethiopia, Kenia and other African countries. There, it is specifically known for its healing effect and pleasant scent. Thanks to its high concentration of antioxidants, the blue lotus extract has both an anti-inflammatory and regenerating effect, thus protecting the hair from damages caused by external factors, such as free radicals.
But that’s not all: the precious nutrients contained in the extract are what makes it an important ingredient for cosmetic formulas. It vitalizes brittle hair and strengthens it from within.
